Phoenix Concrete Repair
Cracked, sunken and lifted concrete, repaired or replaced panel by panel.
Not every crack means a new driveway. Hairline shrinkage cracks are normal. Wide cracks, sunken corners and panels that have lifted into a trip edge are the ones that usually need replacement.
Often we can saw-cut out only the damaged panels at the existing joints and pour new ones, which costs less than replacing the whole slab. When most of the surface has failed, full removal and a new pour make more sense.
We look for the cause first: tree roots, a broken irrigation line, water pooling against the slab or a thin original pour. Fixing the surface without fixing the cause brings the crack back.

Cracks that have opened up or show one side lower than the other.

Lifted panels from roots or heaving soil.

Old concrete broken out and hauled away.

Damaged sections cut out at the joints and poured new.
| What you see | Usual fix |
|---|---|
| Hairline cracks, level surface | Leave or seal the crack |
| One or two cracked or sunken panels | Saw-cut and replace those panels |
| Panel lifted by a tree root | Remove the panel, cut the root if safe, repour |
| Cracks and settling across most of the slab | Full removal and new pour |
New concrete starts lighter than weathered concrete and evens out over time. We cut at existing joints so the new panel looks planned.
Sometimes, if the slab is in one piece. Broken or badly cracked slabs are better replaced.
Common causes are shrinkage, tree roots, water from irrigation or roof runoff softening the soil, and a thin original pour.
