Phoenix Concrete Patios
Backyard patio slabs, extensions and walkways that make the yard usable.
Many Phoenix homes come with a small covered slab off the back door and gravel everywhere else. Extending that slab gives you room for a dining table, lounge chairs or a grill.
Walkways connect the patio to side gates, the trash cans and the pool equipment, and keep you off gravel and dirt. We form curves and steps to fit the yard.
We plan patio size around afternoon shade and around monsoon runoff, so the slab sheds water away from the house and toward the yard.

A new slab poured out from the existing covered patio.

Paths to gates, side yards and the pool equipment.

A level slab with footings for a shade structure.

A flat pad for a grill island or kitchen.
| Use | What to plan for |
|---|---|
| Dining | Room for the table plus space to pull chairs out |
| Lounging | Afternoon shade and a lighter finish |
| Grilling or kitchen | A level pad, plus sleeves for gas or electrical before the pour |
| Shade structure | Footings or thickened areas where posts will anchor |
Yes. We pour the new slab against the old one with a joint between them, set slightly lower or sloped so water drains away from the house.
New concrete starts lighter and evens out with time. A stamped or colored finish on the new slab can hide the difference.
Yes, if you might want lights, fans or a gas line later. Sleeves under the slab are easy now and hard to add after.
We slope the slab away from the house and plan where the water lands, so it drains instead of pooling.
